Platysma Band Correction for the Neck
Due to individual anatomy, strength training, and age-related changes, the neck muscle (platysma) can become overactive.
When this happens, the muscle pulls the skin, which can distort the facial contour. An overactive platysma also affects the appearance of the neck, making it look less aesthetically pleasing.
Neuromodulator therapy—such as injections of Botox, Xeomin, Dysport, and others—can help relax the platysma and restore a smoother, more youthful neck.
The effect develops within 14 days and lasts for 3–5 months.
The videos and photos shown here demonstrate the platysma muscle before the procedure and two weeks after. The Before and After photos were taken while the neck muscle was tensed.
