Today, I’d like to talk about the different types of permanent eyebrow makeup.

There are two main techniques:
1. Shading (also known as powder brows, pixel brows, ombré, dense fill, etc.)
2. Hair strokes (fine lines that mimic natural brow hairs)

These techniques can also be combined.

You can add shading to hair strokes, or create partial hair strokes (usually at the brow head) and fill the rest with shading.

A common question I get is: “Which technique is better?”

Here’s my answer…
The choice depends entirely on your natural brows and the result you want!

For bold, defined brows, shading with a deeper tone is best—hair strokes aren’t necessary.

If you want to fill in sparse areas while keeping a natural look, hair strokes are ideal.
There are many options…

I always determine the perfect technique for you during an in-person consultation. Sometimes, I may add more hair strokes or shading during a touch-up. The main goal is to achieve your “dream brows.”

I’ll be happy to help.
