Hello, my dears!

In my profession, I meet so many women, and each one is beautiful in her own way. It’s amazing how nature has made every one of us absolutely unique!

It’s also fascinating that every culture has its own ideas about what makes a woman beautiful. What is admired in one country might seem unusual in another.

For example, while most women are trying to lose weight, dieting, working out, or even considering liposuction, in Jamaica, curvier women are actually seen as the ideal of beauty and femininity.

In India, women who are a bit fuller, with large eyes and jet-black hair, are especially admired.

I’ve also heard that in the United Arab Emirates, nose surgeries are even more popular than in the USA. But instead of making the nose smaller, women often opt for a longer nose, as this is considered beautiful in Arab culture.

In Iran, rhinoplasty is booming as well—but there, the preference is for a neat, European-style nose. Despite strict dress codes, Iranian women have their own beauty standards. Facial features are very important, so they pay close attention to their eyebrows and eyes. A well-shaped nose is seen as a sign of wealth, and the bandage worn after surgery is also a status symbol. Some women wear it longer than necessary, and others even wear it without having had surgery at all.

In Pakistan, Malaysia, and Thailand, fair skin is highly prized. In Thailand, it’s even considered a sign of high social status. While many of us strive for a bronzed tan, women there do everything they can to avoid the sun and often use skin-whitening products.
